ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Water is one of the most crucial resources used extensively and intensively by the industry across all sectors. Increasing global water demand and the effect of climate change are leading to extended overuse of water resources, which are major challenges. Industries in India are efficiently managing their water needs with new concepts - technical, non-technical & digital innovations lead them to overcome their water needs.

CII has been recognising industries on various innovative ideaologies through various awards & competitions. One such competition on Industrial Water Management was launched last year and the 2nd Edition is being organised on 5 July 2022.

OBJECTIVE

To recognise & award excellence in water management practices
To facilitate sharing of hest practices adopted by the Industries / Institutions / Organizations.
To recognise the commitment towards water management & conservation, reuse and recycle
To showcase and recognise the systematic adoption of principles on water conservation by companies along with recycling, reuse, retrospects of existing systems
To showcase and recognise the various technology development / adoption in water management / conservation by the organisations.

COMPETITION PROCESS

The competition will have following three levels after submission of the application along with free and project details

LEVEL 1 - Short-listing of the projects.
LEVEL 2 - Validation of select projects.
LEVEL 3 - Short-listed best projects in each category will be invited for a presentation. Every individual projects need to be presented by the applicants separately for selecting the best out of best.

The nominated project must be currently in operation. The projects should be in operation for min of one year and not more than 5 years.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Upon short-listing of projects (Level-1 & 2), a team comprising of 2 members(max) would be invited to make the presentation.

Time allocated for each presentation would be 15 min followed by Q&A for 5 minutes. (Total 20 minutes per presentation)

The project presention would be evaluated on the following:

Innovations / technologies involved
Volume of water recycled / resused during current year
Implementation and operational feasibility
Replicability of the project
Impact on busines and environment

SELECTION OF WINNERS

After short-listing in the Level-1, the experts panel would do the site visit virtually and evaluate the projects.

Duration of the site visit will be for 2-3 hrs. Different Jury team may evaluate for each category.

CII jury team will decide upon the winners based on the defined selection criteria for each category.

Prize distribution ceremony will be organised after completion of all the presentations

The decision of the juries in selection of winners will be deemed as final.

Stage-1	Submission of duly filled in application form with participation fee. Synopsis of the selected category should also be sent along with the application from	25 April - 28 May 2022
Stage-2	Verification of synopsis	30 May - 04 Jun 2022
Stage-3	Virtual site visit by Jury members	6-18 June 2022
Stage-4	Presentation and interaction	24-25 June 2022
Stage-5	Prize distribution ceremony	25 June 2022

1. Submission of Application Form along with synopsis is a must to confirm participation.
2. Multiple units form the same organisation can apply for this competition. Same unit can apply or multiple categories and fee for each category to be paid separately.
3. The last date for receiving the application is 28 July 2022.
4. participation fee to be paid on before 28 July 2022.
5. Participation fee is non-refundable.
6. Apart from 2 members, the applicant company can nominate additional member to join the presentation team.
